<p>Generally, your common app essay should be no longer than 2 pages, double spaced, with a Times New Roman font.</p>
<p>I don’t understand. I think you need more exclamation points to clarify your message.</p>
<p>If you search through the Common App forum, you’ll find a poster (username WinstonWolfe) that works with Common App. He explains that they STRONGLY RECOMMEND that you limit yourself to 500 words. It is a guideline. The Common App will not automatically cut you off at 500, but you should write no more than 600 words. If you are a good writer, you should be able to get your point across in about 500 words. Remember that adcoms are reading thousands of essays, they want you to be succinct.</p>
