<p>Hello- My Common App essay is 540 words long, the suggested length is 250-500 words. Will my essay be cut off and will colleges immediately discard my barely too long essay? I have already carefully cut down on word count and feel that every word present is currently vital.</p>

<p>I think it will better if you cut off yourself because college will know that you are within Commonapp limit. Hey guys, I am international student. I have spent one year already for application process. As I could not succeed at my first attempt, I am applying this year too. The main problem is that I could get person to edit my person essay and additional information. Can any one suggest ways that I can use securely so that members of college confidential can edit? Also any one willing???</p>

<p>I think the best thing to do is get an english teacher to read your essay. Even asking your family to read and edit might be helpful so they can make sure essay sounds like you. If you really don’t have anyone to read it, you can PM it to me.</p>
