<p>For prompt 1: I was thinking about using all of the letters I have that my grandpa wrote while serving in the navy during the Korean War as my inspiration and write about how different his life was at 17 from mine but also how similar I am to him and how I see myself in those letters. Is this a good idea or would it be too much about him and not me? Would colleges like it(vanderbilt, notre dame)? Any ideas on how to execute it perfectly?</p>
