Hey guys, so I’m a rising senior and have already started brainstorming ideas for my college essay.
I was thinking about writing about my heritage. For example I’m from a small, third world country, and up until recently used to be ashamed to answer your typical ice breaker of “where are you from?”, considering the when I did tell people where I’m from, they would’ve never heard of the country and therefore deemed it irrelevant. Now, however, I’ve come to appreciate the perserverance of my country and I’m proud of how when need arose, they people put all their differences (i.e. Poltical, racial etc) aside and worked towards the greater good.
I like the idea and the gist of it, but not sure if its too cliche of a topic and I’m afraid it wont stand out.
Any input?? Thanks!
if you can write it really really eloquently and turn it into something that isn’t cliche then I think you should go for it
