<p>On the Common App, there is a tab ' Education ' on that page there is a section for ' Educational Interuption' </p>

<p>Quote: " If your progression through secondary school was or will be delayed or interrupted in any way, please check all that apply. "
..............................
"Click here if you: did/will take gap year" </p>

<p>My situation is that I did not interrupt my school year with a gap year, however, i did choose to take a gap year after my high school graduation before searching to college. Since I am an international student, I don't know if the American school system sees it as an interruption if I don't immediately attend college after high school. That is why I'm uncertain if I should 'check the box' for the gap year, or not. </p>

<p>Yes. Check the gap year box. That will create a required upload where you will be asked to provide details. A few sentences is fine.</p>
