Am i screwed? I don’t need to hear “You should have submitted it earlier!” I know. I know!
I left time for it, but then realized I didn’t fill out the last thing there regarding parent information. My dad was asleep and it was 11:30 and it took a while to find the information i needed. Afterwards, it was around 11:57 and payment was around 12:04 and final submission around 12:06…
I got the green check mark though on my common app home page, i don’t know if that means much though.
I’m so stressed out. I know I should’ve done it earlier. I’m going to submit my other Jan 15 deadline stuff now because this honestly sucks.
@agc1998 Weird…I didn’t get that notification and i have a green check mark right by the college saying application is complete and submitted. Though, the date says the 2nd…I’m in the same time zone as the college too… so I don’t understand.
Is it possible the college’s due date was 1/2/16? Also, for schools with January 1 deadlines, that means January 1 at 11:59pm. If you submitted it on January 1 12:06am, it was on time.
WAIT! I got an email confirmation that i have successfully submitted my app…No more mistakes like this. [-X I’m going to finish up my Jan 15 apps and submit away. No more last minute.
This site has been around for about ten years. I don’t know of a single instance where someone reported that they got an "incomplete " app because scores, transcripts, recommendations, school reports were sent into the colleges in mid January. But I guarantee you that every late December and late October (for EA and ED apps), there have been thousands of posts and threads like this.
Colleges spend millions of dollars collectively, trying to get you to submit. They aren’t going to install a pit right at the finish line. At midnight January 1st when many of your peers are losing it, the admissions people are going to be sleeping calmly in their beds. There’s not some massive party at the office with people devilishly ready to hit the auto reject or delete button once the midnight hour passes.
As much as you want to be admitted to dream college X, the colleges want you to find a way to enroll you as well. Don’t forget that.
