Applied on 8/2 using the Common App. Still haven’t received my Log On ID and in looking at the Common App site, its showing they haven’t downloaded the application yet. Anyone else apply via Common App have the same issue? Applied to 3 schools via common app and so far only 1 has downloaded it. The one that has sent me my Log On ID the next day.
Update: About 4 hours after posting this question, I checked my Common App status and IU has now downloaded the application. Guess I have my answer. Still one more school that hasn’t downloaded it but glad that IU has downloaded the app.

@cgraham547 not yet. From what I read on the website the login ID comes within 2 weeks of them receiving the application. Since they just downloaded it on the 17th I figure we should get it in another week. Our HS isn’t sending out transcripts until the 29th of August so we won’t get any decision until after that so we figure sometime in September at the earliest. They said it had something to do with Naviance and that they wanted to make sure all grades had been updated. I’m assuming for kids that took summer classes.
okay i was just wondering, i also applied august 1st and they downloaded it the 16th but i haven’t received a login yet so i was getting worried i didn’t realize it was 2 weeks after they downloaded and not applied. They should have received my transcripts through naviance today
This is the first year that IU has been accepting the Common App so in the past you would have just applied on their website. I’m sure they just haven’t updated the language on the website since it does say apply on there. I don’t think they consider it as having been received until it is actually downloaded by the University and that probaly starts the timeframe from which they operate. Of the three schools we used the Common App on, only 1 of them downloaded it within 48 hours. IU downloaded it on the 17th and the final school just downloaded it yesterday.

Nice to hear. Hopefully we will get ours tomorrow since our app was downloaded a day after yours. Our HS is supposed to release transcripts on Monday so then IU should have everything.
