Hi this may sound like a dumb question but on the common app what does it mean when its asking for the GPA Scale? It says my options are 4-20 or 100?? I don’t understand what its asking for, please help!
In general, in the US, HS grades are either on a 0-100 (which is a 100 point scale) or A (or A+) -F (which is a 4 point scale at most schools. Schools outside the US have different scales. For instance, France has a 0-20 scale, which is why 20 is an option on the Common App.
Basically just select the one that matches how your school shows it on your transcript.
