Common App Hangover :-)

Am I the only parent feeling the effects of a stressful weekend finishing up the common applications for ED? D is my oldest and I feel like I've learned a lot of lessons that will benefit S('14). She really had hoped to get all of this done earlier but with a Varsity fall sport, marching band and 3 AP classes, her time has been limited.

hah…me too! We finished up this weekend, and after all the checking and re-checking, S2 has his finger on the submit button…hovering…after it was submitted, he turns and says “Well, I thought I would feel better. Now I just want to run screaming to the mailbox every day”. But I’m glad to be done, it will make the Nov/Dec crush of activity a little less stressful? Maybe?

My D finished on Thursday night. It’s taken a couple of days to sink in. It’s a great feeling. I feel so much calmer now because there is nothing else to prove. What will be will be.

Even if she doesn’t get into her ED/EA choices, she won’t have very much work to do over Christmas, and we can enjoy ourselves.

I thought I would feel a sense of relief when S hit the submit button, but it was so late when he finished it, and we were so bleary-eyed, I’m nervous that we forgot something!

I know what you mean Megan12. D and I were scanning the printed preview copies for mistakes but as soon as she hit Submit I made both of us stop. Now the waiting game. Luckily, she is 3 for 3 on applications so far so hopefully these common app schools will work out too.

S is reviewing his essays one more time with english teacher today. The button will be hit tonight!
