So on Common App, can we include important items that we did such as IB Extended Essays, Group 4, and CAS Project in the additional section? My extended essay is in the subject area that I want to pursue, so I wanted to somehow include that in my college application. My group 4 project also won an award that my ib teachers gave me, so I wanted to include that but I didn’t think it would go in as an extracurricular activity. My CAS project was at a high level, and it was a good extracurricular however I have many other activities so my CAS project doesn’t fit in the limit of 10. Can I include all these in the additional section, and will colleges definitely read them (i.e. Duke, Johns Hopkins, Columbia, UPenn)?

Most schools will allow you to submit a supplement, so I’d submit your EE abstract as a writing supplement.
For the CAS project, you can put that into the Additional Info section if it doesn’t fit in the Activities section.
For the award, just put that in the Awards and Honors section.
