<p>I am from a country , where teachers are not well versed with online recommendation and stuff. Therefore I need to take my laptop to school and sit with my teachers so that they can fill my recommendation</p>

<p>The thing which bothers me is I saw that Common APP notes IP Address of all the users as well as timestamps etc. and colleges may even ask for it from school
I am using the same laptop for my common app as well.</p>

When you hook up to the network at school, you will use an IP assigned by the server at school. I am sure many students submit their CommonApp at school also. What is the problem?</p>

<p>Not at all. Do you think CommonApp can handle IP tracking? They cannot even maintain their site efficiently.</p>
<p>They will contact your school if there is any question about your transcript. Your school may also mail in the transcript.</p>
<p>Contact as in Contact the Number given as the Counselor number or they will go and search the website for School Official number and then call??</p>

<p>Whatever way they find the contact info of your school. Should it be on the school profile, transcript, etc? You simply worry too much. If you are not making up things, you should not concern about this at all.</p>
