When I print preview my common app, on the activities section, it cuts off the last couple of words.

However, it still gives me enough characters to type those words in the boxes...its just that when I print preview, it cuts them off.

Since I was not born in the US, I only put city, country for where I was born. However, when I print preview it, it lists my country under Province/State even though I put the country under the country box in my Common Application form.

Which version do colleges see? The print preview version or my original version with the boxes?

Thanks

I would also like to know this as well. It’s happening on my preview too!

try to put everything on the same line, don’t use the enter key.
colleges see the print preview version

Well it happens in the activity seciton

It only gives one line to type the description in (one box with a certain amount of characters). I have not reached the character limit in the box because I can still type more words, but it still cuts it off on the print preview.

Can someone put this back in college admissions because more people visit that then the common application forum.

Thanks

Unfortunately, you have to pack a lot of information into a relatively small space to complete your application. The best advice I can give you is to be concise and abbreviate as necessary to make sure your words don’t get cut off. Many colleges read the Common App on the same format that you see it when you do a print preview, so don’t trust that they will be able to see the text that is cut off.

If you can’t effectively abbreviate your information to fit in a particular box, use the Additional Information area of the application to provide further illumination. Just be sure to keep it brief there, as well.

Bump. So is the other thread also applicable for ECs and Honors also? I’m really scared now lol.
