Thank you very much, I’m only a sophomore but I wanted to look at the common app to geta feel for it and I had never tried doing any of this before. Thank you for your kindness, you sirs are gentlemen and scholars.

No problem, I did the same thing you did ;)

Just note that it changes slightly each year apparently. I made one sophomore year just to check it out, and when I went to create my account just now I’ve noticed several changes, both in interface and information requested. Nothing major, but just make a note of it. They were all changes for the better in my opinion, so no worries.
Good luck in your college search!

Hey, I’m a rising junior and I’ve got a quick question about the CA. How do you find out which colleges accept the CA? And if they don’t, I’ll assume you can find their unique application on their website?

Make an account on the CA, then on the left sidebar click on “Search for Colleges”
If the college you want shows up, they accept the CA. If not, go to the college’s website, click on “Admissions” and you can find directions from there.

Its best to go on their site and check. A majority of colleges do, but many state schools don’t because they have their own state application.

Not true with SUNY schools. I’m applying to Bing and they give you the choice between the SUNY app or the CA.

Alright, thanks guys!

Wait, how do we fill it out? Do we have to print the form and write or is there a way to do it electronically? How long should the short answers be?

It’s all electronic. Once you’ve made the account, click on “Future Plans” on the left sidebar to start.

@joshmay94 I said MANY not all. There’s a bit of a difference.

Holy ■■■■. It’s only really hitting me now that there is only ONE MORE YEAR OF HIGH SCHOOL TO GO!!!
