Common App issue

Hello all. I applied to USC and the university of Tennessee via the common app November 30th, due date was dec. 1. I get an acceptance letter to the university of Tennessee but when we called to check on any merit based scholarships, they told us I was not eligible for merit based scholarship due to the application being submitted on Dec 8th. I looked back at the common app and see that my USC app was submitted on Nov. 30th but UT was on Dec. 8th. I did them both at the same time one right after another. I have no idea how it became Dec. 8th. They say I paid for it on the 30th but did not submit it until the 8th. That is just not true.Is there anything I can do? We emailed common app personnel and basically was told there is nothing they can do. Can I complain to some one? Thanks for your time.
