I don't know what's going on, but my teacher told me that she's trying to submit my letter of rec on Common App but it keeps not letting her and giving an error message. She told me that she thinks it went through but has to ask the counselor and other people at the school to double check. I also heard from my chem teacher and some other students that the system is having major problems, and I'm not sure if it's just my school or not. Is anyone else having the same problem?

Does anyone know if there's a time gap from when the teacher submitted and when the status changes on your page? My teacher is still listed as "Started" and hasn't moved to "Submitted" yet. The deadline's fast approaching and I'M FREAKING OUT!!!

I am having the exact same problem! My teacher emailed me and said that she submitted it but the common app says that it is only started! I hope it’s just a lag and will update but I’m assuming that colleges can’t currently download it and I am freaking out! EA ends Friday! Sorry I can’t help you but at least your not the only one! I hope common app fixes it ASAP!

You can submit your common app without the LOR being uploaded. The LOR will be sent to the schools even after the deadline as most schools have a different deadline for educators to submit their letters. As long as you have them added for the specific school, the LOR will be sent to that school when your teacher uploads it, even after the EA Deadline.

I submitted everything, it’s just this one rec letter that won’t go through. My other teacher submitted last week and it was fine and dandy. My colleges want the letters of rec in (or at least submitted) before the Nov. 1 EA deadline though :/

It’s possible that your teachers “saved” their letter instead of “submitted” the letter. That happened to my son and he went back to his teacher and got it corrected.

The common app is having BIG problems. A few school are extending ED EA deadlines. MyD just ecieved emails saying the deadline was pushed for three of her schools.

I am having the exact same problem as aymiusa; one teacher has successfully submitted but neither my counsellor nor my other teacher is able to submit. It keeps saying the fields are incomplete even though they are all complete and although my teacher has clicked submit multiple times it’s still not showing up as submitted on my end.
