<p>Hello...I'm applying SCEA to stanford and just wanted to know whether it was true that the common application "locks up" when u submit ur commonapp and supplement to stanford..</p>
<p>Does that mean that you can no longer make any changes to the commonapp for any of your schools or just for the commonapp and supplement that you sent stanford?</p>

<p>you can't change the common app part at all once you submit - the same thing goes to all schools.</p>
<p>You will obviously still be able to do the supplement differently to
other colleges....just the common app part stays the same</p>
<p>u can unlock the app if u get deferred or denied admissions i believe</p>
<p>The latest word is that the Common Application will allow SOME changes (it's not yet clear how many) to previously submitted information after the first submission. Implementing that apparently requires some changes in the software Common Application has from its new software vendor.</p>
