If you use the common app for multiple schools, then what happens if you have multiple majors? For most schools my major is film production, but for one or two its going to be history or cinema studies.
Also, most of my activities aren’t listed and I can’t fit all the info into the box. I’m thinking maybe I should just send my apps in the mail… just to keep the thing looking organized.

You can send the common app more than once; I did it. I think you might have to replicate it before you send it the first time, not sure, but you can definitely send it multiple times (with changes).

I dunno about the majors question, I just put my top choice, but for the activities list, you can either make a list and put it in the "additional information" section, or you can print out a copy and send it to the schools you used the common app for. It will just get added to the file with the rest of your application.

Your declared major won't affect the decision unless it is an unusual major that the college is trying to recruit people into. (You do, of course, want to declare a major that the college offers.)

A more important issue is what college within the universtiy that you are applying to. Math, Biology, and History majors typically apply to something that sounds like the "College of Arts and Sciences". Engineering majors typically apply to something that sounds like the "College of Engineering". This can also happen for business and fine arts majors. The selectivity can vary greatly between colleges within the same university. Once you get to college, you can change majors fairly easily within the college, but it is more difficult to switch colleges within the university.
