I accidentally put the hours per day for two activities on the extra-curricular section rather than hours per week like I was supposed to. Considering each activity was 5+ hours a day, the difference between the two numbers is huge. I have no idea why I did hours per day for those two because the other ones I put hrs per week. What should I do?

I don’t think you can change it. You might be able to email the college about it? I think at the end when you are on the “Signature” page it says something like “I recognize the moment I turn this in it cannot be changed.” Something similar to that. I hope that helps!

It’s not hugely important, and they will surely realize that you couldn’t be doing these activities for a combined total of 10hr/day, but if it makes you feel better, just drop a quick email making the correction. I’m sure this happens all the time.

Are you saying that you put 5 hours a week when you meant to do 5 hours a day so 35 hours a week? For more than one activity?

Wow these must be some intense ECs!

I would email all of your schools. When in doubt, send a clarifying email.

I would make sure to send at least an email and maybe call because you do not want the admissions officer to think that you are exaggerating or lying about the time spent, it could hurt your chances if they think you were being dishonest.

Just echoing what has been said, but email the admissions office with a correction to your application

Yeah I actually didn’t exaggerate it! I accidentally put too little hours. The reason it’s so many hours is because it was a summer extra-curricular. Thank you for the advice everyone!
