Ugh…
So, when filling out my “Current Courses” section of the Common App awhile back, I didn’t know you could select multiple quarters.
My school does the Quarter system, so I have some three quarter classes, some two quarter classes, and one that’s only one. My guidance counselor said that the Common App didn’t have an option for ours, and that I had to put the courses in as semesters. So, all of my courses are in as semester long classes.
I just picked up the one quarter class (missing a gym credit) so I went to put it in, and then also realized that, hey, you can select multiple quarters. So, long story short, every application I’ve sent so far has been with the wrong schedule. The courses are all correct, or were at the time, but they’re all for the wrong period of time. I also wasn’t sure what to do with my three period classes, since they run both semesters, so I put one in one semester and one in another.
What do I do? Should I call the schools and explain? How could I even remedy this, than to have to sit and go through my schedule and explain why they’re all wrong?
anxious bump
I’m nervous about speaking to my Guidance Counselor about this again; I don’t want to get another wrong opinion. I know of other students who did the same thing I did, but I’m worried that when my application is compared to other students from my school I’ll be the obvious standout.
