Common App - no GPA and some other questions

<p>So I have a few questions that I've tried to find answers for, but I'm still unsure..</p>

<p>I'm applying to some selective US schools (I'm int'l) but my HS doesn't report GPA at all. I'm leaving this blank, which my counsellor said to do, but will this negatively affect me? I know that a transcript will be sent anyway but still wondering since people are always talking about GPA's</p>

<p>Do I write/type my name on the uploaded documents? I mean additional info and the essays/supplementary essays. It'll go with my application but do admissions people print it out, etc, should I put my name on the top just in case it gets mixed up somehow?</p>

<p>I'm handing in an extra rec. Should it be a normal letter on letterhead etc or should I print off the rec from common app and have my teacher write it on that?</p>

<p>Each college will recalculate your gpa according to their methodology anyway, so it’s not a problem.</p>

<p>If you are uploading documents electronically within the CA, there’s no need to put your name on them. If you are sending hard copy documents, then you do need to be sure your name and other identifying information is on anything sent in.</p>
