On the common app, do you have to write one essay for every college you apply to? If you do, how are you supposed to mention what you like about each college?

Many if not most of the schools have a supplemental page on the common app that requires additional input and sometimes essays. This would be a place to specifically talk about the individual school. You'll have to check the site for your colleges to see if they have a supplemental page.

What transfer schools accept the common app?

LaneB2005- Many schools accept the transfer common app, check the website for specfic one's (there are far too many to list).

Also in response to the topic I know for myself the common app essay adressed my desire to transfer and reason for needing to, than each school had a supplement, which asked why I want to go to that specfic school. I think most schools have a format like this with common + supp explaining intrest.

if the supplement doesn't ask your specific reasons, just add it to the main commonapp essay and send that one separately

be careful about which common app...bowdoin accepts the common application, while a lot of other schools require the common transfer application...they have different essays, so beware.
