In my opinion, it would just be easier to hand write it, but is that looked down upon? Is there an advantage to either one?

handwriting all your essays would be fun :)
colleges say that they don't care whether you type your app or you handwrite it, but they do say that they prefer online apps
this doesn't mean that an online app will boost your chances of being accepted. it just means that online apps are easier for the college to process. if you handwrite your app and send it in, the college needs to scan it and save it in their computer as where if you type it, the work's already done for them.

doesn't matter

If you submit a paper app, you have the ability to do certain impressive things, like use linen paper. Plus, you have more freedom with word limits on essays and you can submit extra stuff (like a typed activity sheet). I applied on paper exclusively.

Meh, if you apply online, you can copy-and-paste stuff. When you fill out apps for a lot of schools, I'd imagine it would save a lot of time.

Yeah, if you're looking out for time then definitely go online, though I know I felt much better mailing everything in, though you don't exactly plan on hand-writing everything are you? Because that would be killer if you had to write out your essays. But yeah I think one of the best decisions I made when applying to schools was doing paper apps since I didn't feel limited in my application [though at the same time I really didn't go above and beyond], but yeah whichever you feel more comfortable with is the best way to go.

K thanks, I'm hoping to get accepted ed, so I would only have to write a couple of essays. I think I'll just do that. So you can send a list of activities too?
