Which did you guys use? I know they are technically not supposed to discriminate... but i was considering using the school's app until i realized that the supplement was pretty much their app, and i wanted them to read my common app essay. Does anyone who got in ED have any comments on this?

I only applied to one school so I just used Hopkins' app.

common app...originally wasn't planning on sending in the influential class essay (SO boring!)..but I ended up sending it in separately. (I did the $10 essay with the supplement)

From what I'm understanding from info on these boards...
common app vs jhu app doesn't matter if you do all the essays. It seems they definitely want the $10 essay

I did the common app, only cuz i did it for like 6 other schools, so it was easy to just add jhu to my colleges list.

common app for the same reason hotpiece used it.

Hopkins' app

jhu app cuz it was my ed school
and they say they really dont care as long as u do their essays

so, everyone did both essays, even if you used the common app...

Except me... I'm the oddball here.

common app....did all essays...wrote $10 5 hrs before deadline...I think it's good but really don't know

it doesn't matter common app vs. jhu app -- just do the jhu essays and you will be fine!

in fact, did you all know that the creator of the Common Application online is an actual JHU alum. so obviously we love the common app. (they actually built the JHU online app. too).
