common app or not?

hey guys,

i'm currently on the application process and i'm wondering if i should apply through Common App or through Wake Forest's individual app. i really do want to get in and i feel that common app may not be as good as applying through wake's individual app cos on the common app, there's only 1 long essay and 4 short questions while for wake's there is 2 long essays and 5 short ones. please give insight, and another question, do i apply to Calloway school of business or do i apply for wake forest college, please advise.

I would do the regular application unless it is a really big inconvience. You apply to Calloway when you are a Sophomore. You can only apply to Wake Forest College out of HS.

Is there a choice to apply to Calloway? I was nearly certain that you applied to it during your sophomore year. But don't take my word for it. I don't know a whole lot about the business school at all.

It doesn't really matter. Although I think with the common app you do end up writing 2 long essays and 5 short ones. You write the general long common app one, 1 long one on the supplement and then the 5 short answers on the supplement. Or at least that's how it was when I applied. The point of the common app is participating colleges treat it the same as their own application. I ended up applying with the common app because I didn't like one of the long answer questions on Wake Forest's app.

You don't apply to Calloway until the spring of your sophomore year. You don't need to worry about it at all yet.
