I’m assisting a student with their Notre Dame common app. She has added her guidance counselor and a teacher reommender. Is she able to add an “Other Recommender”? We are having trouble doing this.
Seem like NO as this is from Notre Dame’s website: Letters of evaluation
We request two—and only two—letters of evaluation from every applicant. Your guidance counselor will complete a counselor evaluation and short personal letter, and one of your high school teachers will complete the other. You may choose any high school teacher to write your letter, as long as he or she has taught you in an academic subject area (math, science, English, social science, or foreign language) and knows you well.
Yeah you can I added my debate coach for my other recommender.
My kids both had a boss from their respective jobs as another recommender.
You CAN add another letter, but unless it’s from your oncologist, your Olympic tennis coach, or the person you rescued from a burning building, it probably won’t be read. Many applicants would like to supplement their applications with extra letters, but they respect the instructions. Besides, there is barely enough time for the admissions staff to review the required materials. What part of “two and only two” is insufficiently clear?
So it is not the same as your teacher recommendation?
