<p>For Common app and admission apps in general... when is the best, or ideal time to send in the apps for RD? For instance... lets just say CollegeA has a deadline on January 16th for RD, but my first semester grades for senior year ends at Feb1st. Exactly how and when do I send my apps so they get not only the grades of my first three years in HS but also that of my senior year 1st semester? I'm really confused how this process works...</p>
<p>Virtually every college has its application deadline before the end of a student's first semester. They review the applications except for the semester grades; then when the grades come in, they do the final evaluations.</p>
<p>You send your application in. Your GC sends your transcript up to 11th grade. You give your GC the midyear report (often at the same time as you give him/her the initial transcript request - check with your high school since many already have procedures in place), and when your transcript for first semester is ready, your GC sends it out to all the schools to which you've applied.</p>
<p>Your GC should know how this is done.</p>
<p>As for your part of the application, I suggest that you send it in no later than 1 week before the deadline. That way, you can address any problems, servers won't go down, you won't be sweating, you can laugh at all the threads that start, "OMG, it's 12:25, and the deadline was 12:00! What do I do now" or "The Post Office is closed!" or "The Common App site won't send my app!"</p>
