I applied for Questbridge but didn't make finalist, but Northwestern waived my application fee. Do all the partner colleges do that for Questbridge applicants? I am applying to USC, Carnegie Mellon, Dartmouth, Brown, Cornell, and Harvard. Rice, Allegheny, and Northwestern are waiving my application fee.

You can always call and/or email admissions at all those schools, it never hurts to ask. Out of the ones on your list, I only know about Dartmouth. Years ago my daughter was filling one out for them for RD as she had run out of the allotted amount, but we never ended up submitting it after she was matched through QB. Here is the link.

You can also try to google each of the schools you need and application fee waiver and see what comes up. QB has somewhere on their page which schools waive app fees for non finalists as well, I’m just too tired to look it up. Good luck.

I called Harvard and they said to just write a note that you need a waiver. They also said you can mention QB finalist, but it doesn’t matter. They give the waiver to you if you ask. Easy. Peasy. They are soooo wonderful.

I didn’t make finalist for QB though, so does that qualify for me? Because Northwestern is letting me apply for free since I tried to get QB but I didn’t even get finalist.

Darth…just call each school and ask or email the link like I showed you. I’m not sure why you asked again on post #3? I realize you were not a finalist, but as I said it cannot hurt to ask. Tell them you are very interested in their school and can they please waive the fee, and if so what do you need to do as far as the waiver.

Sorry GA2012MOM, I was referring to karencov’s statement, but yeah thanks for the link. If worst goes to worst, I can mention that paying might provide a hardship because my sister has Rett Syndrome. Thanks for the replies!
