For the common app recommendation forms, are the same teacher recommendations that are for the common app used for all the schools that your using the common app for?

does anyone know about this?....

all the schools on the common app accept the same teacher recommendation forms...if thats what your asking.

The simple answer is "yes"... the same teacher recommendations are used for all schools that you apply to via the Common App.

The more complex response, though, is that in choosing to apply to a school, do you want to put forth your best effort in the application process? There is a choice that all students must make in choosing between a college's own application form(s) (usually online) and the Common App, which is a means by which a student can "shotgun" his/her application information in a format acceptable to many colleges/universities. However, most of the elite colleges have supplemental forms that are required. Also, there are differences in the information that may be requested between a school's application form and the Common App, including the Teacher Recommendation portion. You must then ask whether you wish to apply via a given college's specific application or the more general Common App.

Most colleges say they do not care which form you use, but the fact remains that there are differences in the application forms. Choose a college of interest to you and make the comparison. I have known many students who choose to optimize their chances by applying directly through the colleges' forms vs. the Common App. It may not make a difference, but there's no doubt that the Common App will not always ask the recommending Teacher the same questions asked by a given college's form.
