common app questions

Current year courses section. I don't understand this at all. What am I supposed to provide? Do I just write all of the classes that I'm attending? Let's say:
Course 1 title: Math
Course 1 level, if applicable: in my country (lithuania) we don't have ap, ib classes. The classes are divided by levels: A and B, A being higher. I take Math in A level. Should I just leave this part blank?
Course 1 credit value: What is this? There's no such thing as credit value here.
Course 1 schedule: I suppose this is the duration I'm taking the class? We take the same classes each semester, so I'll just tick "Full Year", right?

Honors. I don't understand this section either.

Future plans. Is putting undecided as career interest a disadvantage?

I'd appreciate any help.

anyone? :(

Don’t suppose there is a consistent approach to this in the U.S., either! Sometimes you have to just fit the form to your situation as best you can. You can also count on the admissions committee’s understanding that things are different for non-U.S. students.

Course level: I think you can fairly mark “Accelerated” for your higher-level math.

Credit and Schedule: Very variable in the U.S., too. Mark “full year” for your course schedule, mark “1” for credit. (1 credit per year-long course is a common scheme in the U.S., too. Other schemes award 1 credit per course-term. Some are based on class-hours.).

Honors: A place to list the academic awards or recognition, if any, you have achieved thus far. List the most important here (up to five). These could be awarded by school, government, or other organizations or could be earned in academic competitions (speech, debate, math, writing, etc.) I believe this section can also include arts awards (studio art, music, or dance, for example), but I am not certain of this.

Future: “Undecided” is absolutely acceptable and will not hurt you.

Descartesz is right. The Honors portion of the Academic section is the preferred place to list academic awards. Awards received in non-academic activities are best noted in the “Details, Honors and Accomplishments” boxes within the Activities section.

wow thank you, this really helped!

One more question, does 1st place in english olympiad in my district count as honor or should i put it in details, honors and accomplishments?

Ladies and Gentlemen,

What about College courses? I’m filling out the Common app as a Transfer Student. I need to put my current College courses in that section, right? So should I put for “Course 1 schedule” for courses that I’m taking for the 4th time. Like the 4th semester of advance piano, or fourth time of Jazz Band? Please Help!!!
