I had my school send out my transcripts for the fall semester back in January. Tonight, I finally submitted my first application and the email from common app told me that I could check on any other needed materials through their website which I was not aware of. I go and look, and it tells me none of my schools have received my transcripts. Before I go jumping down people’s throats though I was wondering if anyone knew if it might be because I never submitted my transcripts to Common App’s verification center or whatever that is? I plan on emailing my schools tonight to check since I’m kind of in crunch time now but I really don’t want to think I paid to have my current school send transcripts for nothing.
Honestly, I don’t think it’s because you didn’t submit it through the common app transcript processing center thing since I didn’t use that either and the schools received my transcripts all right. Does the applicant portal of the schools that you applied to also says that your transcript is missing? I’m assuming your school also has a transcript ordering service thing so if that’s the case you should contact them to see whats up and show them your confirmation of your transcript order. I hope you figure this out I can totally relate to all this stress : (
I contacted the school I applied to and they said it would take a few days to show up since they don’t link files until after you submit a common application. I assume that’s how it is for most schools which gave me some relief. I think since it is the weekend we won’t see anything on the common app until next week so I’m going to wait until then before I ask my school about it. On the school’s full checklist it also doesn’t list some of my recommendations and high school transcripts even though I got those done last year/back in January so hopefully, after a few days, it sorts itself out.
