Common App sent to high school?

Do high schools receive a copy of our common application when we submit it?

Your high school generally will not receive a copy of your common app if you submit it online.

However, your high school will still be submitting documents that are parts of your application to your colleges, such as official transcripts and counselors' and teachers' recommendations, as well as the official high school profile.

An application that is not on track with the supporting documentation will raise suspicion in admissions offices--for example, if a student's application highlights academic honors or extracurricular activities that are not borne out by the transcript or mentioned in recommendation letters would receive extra scrutiny possibly resulting in a phone call to the high school's counselor. Discovery of any discrepancy is the kiss of death for an application.

Okay thanks. But I wasn't asking because I plan to lie on my application.... My guidance counselor made some suggestions on my personal statement that I don't like, and I just wanted to make sure that she wouldn't find out I'm not going to take her suggestions...

Why don't you get a second opinion on your personal statement, maybe from an English teacher? Your statement should definitely reflect YOU but sometimes a more experienced eye is a good thing.
