<p>Is it weird to have Harry Potter as a subject for your essay? I thought it might be unique, but I don't know if this is a turn off for schools.</p>
<p>For the character in fiction one right? As long as you can explain why Harry Potter has influenced you, I don’t see why not. I’m sure HP has influenced everyone who’s read it in some way, and the adcoms might see it that way as well instead of seeing it as a cliche.</p>
