Just logged in to "application status check" for a particular college and saw that the comm app supplement was listed as a missing document even though it was previously submitted via the common app.......? Went to the common app site and it also showed not submitted and yellow square. It was actually submitted weeks ago along with the common app submission but never downloaded by the college. Didn't check it daily but the rest of the app was only recently downloaded and the supplement then showed not submitted instead of changing to downloaded. What ever happened here? Just submitted it now but it shows submitted after the EA deadline. Will this affect admission chances? When the common app was submitted and payment made are you supposed to go back and submit the supplement again after this? Confused as to how this even happened.....and worried about the effect it will have.....

I think you probably need to have your son or your son’s GC call the school and ask about it. It might not be a good idea to call yourself, on the off-chance that some schools might take it as over-involvement for a parent to be checking status and following up.

I would also call common app. If you already submitted the supplement, you should have an email as a confirmation from common app. Ask them how come the status is “not submitted”.

College can not download your supplement if it is shown as “not submitted”.
