I pretty much rewrote the whole thing later that day (took me like 2 hours) and pressed check errors and save. When my screen refreshed the original essay I wrote was in my new one's place. What do I do???</p>
<p>So it sounds like you revised your essay in the USC supplement screen instead of doing it in word or some other external program. If so, I would say it is gone. </p>
<p>Cut and paste your essay right now into another program and try and remember what all you did and go back to work. Never write directly into any application. Always save your work separately even if you just email it to yourself to not lose it.</p>
