If i wanted to add a resume or extra recommendation (from my employer), how do i send it if i was to send both common app/supplemental ONLINE? do i send additional info to application processing center? which is -->

Undergraduate Admissions
Application Processing Center
East Hill Plaza

Ithaca, NY 14850-2899

? Am i even allowed to send a resume / extre recommendation?? (laugh) Is applying online preferred over paper? Thanks for taking the time to read guys, i appreciate it

Send extra recommendations to the same place you send your regular recommendation (I believe that is the place, though I'm not sure). As for the resume, isn't there a space for extra info on the online commonapp? That's what I remember from last year...

Your school mails what Orbit mentioned with your OFFICIAL transcript, GPA, rank.

There is a place to put your senior year courses somewhere in the common app.

An extra resume is fine, just make it short, sweet, and professional. Mail it to the app processing center with your vital info on it so they can associate it with your app. file. I felt it was better to give them a paper copy of the (optional and unrequested) resume than put it in common app and let them F**k up the formatting.

There is no preference between paper and online in terms of your admissions chances. It would be retarded to favor applicants who submit an identical application form online. (It's all common app now, ya know? If a school favors one, it's only in terms of facilitating processing. Some schools waive app. fees for online appliactions because they don't have to enter the information into their system by hand. However, there is NO preference (at least at any of the schools I've looked into) in terms of admissions chances.

Thanks sparticus.. now i read in the common application that "students are discouraged from submitting other supplemental material"... now does this include another recommendation from my employer? (yeah i heard too many recs. are a turnoff..but 3?) Thanks guys

the common application is not cornell's direct voice. The general concensus of many colleges, including cornell, is that if the material is actually beneficial to their understanding of you and your abilities, that it is ok to include it. Redundant recs. from people who have the same perspective on your aren't beneficial.
