common app teacher eval question

For example, harvard wants 2 teacher eval's. These are the same as the common app ones right? so does this mean i just PHOTOCOPY my teacher's evaluation for my common app, and then just send a copy to harvard? or do they want individual evaluations written specifically to their school?

I'm not certain, you should call Harvard, but most schools that we've dealt with do not require specific recommendations for their schools.

My son is applying to Muhlenberg and their site has a link for the Common App's Teacher Evaluation form, but they told us that we do not even need it if the teachers have already written letters of recommendation.

When in doubt, CALL! :-)

it's ok to duplicate letters. after all they're all writing about the one ans same p[erson.

bump, i guess its not only harvard, but all the other schools that i'm applying for that uses common app. like HYP and NYU.

anyone got some experience/input? also, won't it look like, bad, if they see a photocopied paper?

What we did was download enough forms to give each teacher the correct amount of eval forms. For example, if you are applying to ten colleges, give the teacher ten eval forms (plus ten stamped addressed envelopes)

The teacher then composes his rec on the computer and simply prints out ten copies on the forms you've already given him. Each copy looks like an original. The teacher should sign each copy, too, and then mails them off. We never see the teacher recs.

I think this is how it works.

worked that way at my school too. except the teacher hands back the sealed envelope and i send it off myself.

about the printing: sounds neat, but doesn't that give off the same gist as photocopying?

also, should each common app rec make mention of the school its intended?

dunno...make sure it's perfect, though
