Common App - Topic of your choice?

Hey Guys,

I was wondering - Is it is anyway frowned upon to select a topic of your choice in the common app essay? I ask this because I want to be a little lazy and use an essay from another college's application which I have to write.

Thanks :)

I definitely don’t think it’s frowned upon - as long as it’s not too similar to the previous four or five questions they already have. You should honestly be fine!

Chance me?

That’s what I am wondering. I am going to apply 15 colleges, does that mean I have to write 15 different college essays?

The common app essay is sent to all schools you apply to that use the common app. It’s literally a common application for all of those schools. However, there may be supplements required, in which case, another essay may be required.
