Apparently she will need transcripts sent directly from the many university programs from which she has taken courses. I want to get this going (I'm the designated transcript director). Am I correct to to assume colleges won't toss these if they get the transcripts before the application?</p>
<p>You are correct; they won't toss them. They will file them according to whatever system they use - some may set up a file for your daughter, or they may just have a giant file where they store all such doocuments until they get an application, and then sort that giant file.</p>
<p>But you should be fine. Once she does apply, contact those schools to verify that they've gotten the transcripts.</p>
<p>colleges are pretty good about saving materials in some sort of admissions folder no matter what piece of the application dossier arrives first. Lots of schools receive junior-year test scores long before the rest of the app., for example.</p>
