Is it possible for me to just print out the Common App with all my typed info and send it by mail?? My handwriting is not the best and i'm kind of skeptical of sending them through online. Also, anyone try using a type writer??

Why are you skeptical about sending it online?

Most people send it that way, it is definitely safe.

Yea, well I want to send some supplements as well. Which is kind of tricky at times when doing it online.

Yes, You can send the supplements online. It's really not that big of a deal. Besides, that way, you can push your 'postmark' date to the last minute, because you know the schools will get a few thousand apps around 11:57 pm on November 1 (hehe). Also, you get a confirmation much quicker through the internet.

One question. I'm trying to fill out my common application online, but the space availabe for extracurricular activities is so generic. Like it wants you to pick from several different categories like "Sports, clubs, etc." How can I formulate it so the admissions board can get a better understanding of what exactly I do in my free time? Has anyone had this problem? Please help.

extra space at the end, up to 6000 characters
