I gave my teachers who are writing my recommendation forms UPENN's own teacher rec forms because I liked that form... Does that mean I can't apply using the common application?

bump!!!!!!!!!!!

No. Generally, colleges don't care which form you use; they just want the information.

To be sure, call (don't e-mail) the schools you're applying to and ask them. They're usually very helpful on the phone, but e-mail can sometimes get lost.

Well colleges would prefer their forms or why would they go around making one? But Common app will be good too.

ajayc, by signing up with the Common App, schools agree that they will not give preference to their own application. It is quite possible (indeed, likely), that their own application is one that was designed well before the Common App came into existence and they still use it should a student prefer. This would be especially true this year, when the Common App is locked after its first submission.
