Hey cc, I'm applying this year through Questbridge, and I just had a quick question about the essays I should write.

A bit of background:

So for Questbridge there's two main essays, the huge biographical one (800 words) and a smaller one (I picked "if you could change one thing in your community what would it be"). When you apply through Questbridge, the colleges see your QB application with all your essays in it along with whatever college-specific stuff they need (usually a Common app).

And I applied to my local college yesterday (not through Questbridge), so my essay prompt for common app is locked (I chose #1, and I havent used any of my edits yet) and my main essay was basically a copy paste of my Questbridge bio essay with a few things cut out.

Now that I'm getting into writing the essays for my Questbridge colleges, I had a quick question (yes I know I should've started them earlier T-T): should I rewrite my main common app essay (and the supplemental essays) to be different from my QB essays? I'm torn between "oh here's some new opportunity to express some more stuff about yourself since they're going to be seeing the same essays in your QB app anyways" and "but you don't know how much time they spend on your QB app. Maybe they just focus on your Common app stuff, so now they won't know all the good stuff that you put in your QB essays; also you could be spending that time focusing on your college-specific essays"

Sorry for the long post, here's a potato -> 0
