common app vs. vandy app?

<p>i heard from my friends that it is advantageous to use the Vandy application over the common app because it shows that you "care" more. can anyone assess the validity of this assertion?</p>

<p>All schools that use the common app have to certify that they will give equal consideration to common app applicants as other applicants, so that assertion is false.</p>

<p>I did the Vandy app just because it was shorter than doing the common app with the supplement.</p>
