Common App will not allow more than 20? How to add

<p>While I know I'm going to get the usual questions of who needs to apply to more than 20. The bottom line is I do for financial aid and other reasons including that since I am also applying to the hypes I do not count them as real applications. To answer your question yes I do have a small chance that each one of them but it's very small. Plus in the last few years my school has had a very poor track record at each of the IVYs including the middle ones. In all honesty had I known how poor the record was I might've rethought my high school choice. And again to answer the obvious questionr years ago people were getting into the hyps. Not sure what changed but that is a question for another thread</p>

<p>I need help in figuring out how to safely add more than 20 schools. I find it bizarre that the common app would limit you in this way. The last thing I want to do is something that will jeopardize my other 19 applications. One of the state schools I'm applying to has a February deadline is there something I can do in terms of applying to that one later I am really only about one or two schools over the 20</p>

<p>You can’t. It’s a stipulation of the Common App. What you can do, is to look for schools that have other app venues. Some schools have both their own apps and allow use of the common app. You use the other app for those schools and use the common app for those schools that have no alternatives. </p>

<p>Thank you for the helpful article. I had thought about applying to the through the universal application however I was thrown by the request to link to a media file. I am in an area that while I could have media files I I don’t and it’s not really necessary for my area but once the question is asked The schools I am applying to would wonder why I’m using the universal app if I don’t have media files to insert </p>

<p>Most of my extracurriculars are in leadership and Sports i do not really have any websites or anything like that</p>
