I found this link in the Penn forum. I kind of liked Northwestern's application despite all the essays.

Me too, it was my favorite one. I think the common app people will be at a disadvantage, they won't be able to be as creative.

i'm surprised that NU joined the common app, because they hate being a back up to the ivies. they're big on NU being the applicant's first choice.

jellb, keep in mind that NU will still use ED and the "Why NU" may still very well show up in the Common App supplement. At the same time, I do see what you mean, and I think more Ivy-caliber students will apply there "just in case" in greater numbers than ever before.

If NU is going to be on com app, how come they released their essay prompts for 06-07? Im guessing for supplement maybe? Man..., thats a lot of essays.

those were the questions answered by this year's applicants that will be entering during the 06-07 school year

"If NU is going to be on com app, how come they released their essay prompts for 06-07? Im guessing for supplement maybe?"

If a school goes on the common app, they don't get rid of their application, you just have that option... right? I know Duke accepts the common app but they have their own app too.

NU will post the additional essays in their supplement..so basically u save time writing ur personal information!

anyone care to give what the prompts were
