Common Application Alternate Versions ID numbers

On the "school forms" section of the Common Application it says to print out school forms (teacher recs, school reports, etc.) for each version of the application that you make since a different ID number is assigned to each version. Otherwise the ID on the bottom of the application won't match the ID on the bottom of the school form.

Does anyone have experience with this? Do the schools really use these ID numbers? This would mean that the teachers and counselors couldn't just copy the recommendations and school reports but would need to submit their forms to coincide with the various versions. Extremely confusing and defeats one of the benefits of the Common Application.

HaHa.....I truly hope you are wrong....Many,many,many (need I say more) students handed in their school forms prior to the October 19th change in the common app....Another one of those, it is what it is.........
