Common application help urgent

is it alright if my teachers sent their recom with no id at the bottom (somehow my printer just printed my name, with no ID or in some cases with no name/id), while I send my part of the common appl online? Will they then not 'find' the techers recom?

i hope so- my counselor put everything in one big package but none of the documents have any name/id on the top- so i hope they put everything together when it arrives.

I was talking about the recom forms..

oh yeah they will find it not to worry :)

thanks ajay.. haha i just needed more assurances

Which ID?...because there are some colleges who refer to some ID in the common app...better be sure...

the ID at the bottom of the school forms

You mean TE-1/07-08 and TE-2/07-08?

That just means that it is the 1st (2nd) page of the Teacher Evaluation form for the 2007-08 admission cycle - don't worry, colleges will be able to match your recommendations to the rest of your application without that crucial piece of information :)

not that one.. the one which is unique for each common app we create..

my recom forms are in the same package too.

I don't think the number is that important; one of my teacher evaluation forms did not have that unique common app no. at the bottom and Cornell didn't seem to mind.

When I was considering applying to Stanford I was a little worried about the no. as they specifically mention something about that number on their website but when I called the Stanford admissions office, they didn't seem that concerned about it. They said if I wanted, I could write down that number by hand on the common app forms but it wasn't really that important. So don't worry.

The standard forms that are for download on the CommonApp website don't have individual IDs on them and colleges are able to match those to the applicants, so I would guess that the ID is not that important.

i believe adcoms are intelligent enough to look at other methods of identification.
