<p>It's under crazy-heavy load right now, so it will be slow to respond and may seem to be down for a few minutes at a time. Switching browsers may help you, depending on your browser settings, or it may just delay you enough that you hit a clear window when you try again. One thing that won't help you is hitting the Submit button over and over and over; that only increases the load on the server, which then tries to respond to every one of those requests. Now imagine about a million people doing that at the same time, and you'll understand why it's slow.</p>
<p>Best approach is probably patience: If it doesn't work now, try switching browsers... then try it again in 5 minutes, and repeat as necessary. Enter the text, hit the button, then go make yourself a sandwich while you wait for it to respond. Of course, if you still have a lot of edits to make, you might want to make very small, low-calorie sandwiches. :D</p>
<p>Edit: Here are some factors to check on your end. Your browser needs to accept cookies. Make sure commonapp.org is in your "Trusted Sites" list, and set your security settings to Medium or lower (temporarily, at least). Don't use AOL's built-in browser. Disable pop-up blockers. If you're using Internet security software like McAfee or Norton, disable any Web filtering or privacy features temporarily. Here's some more specific information from the Support Center.
