Stanford says that any supplemental forms should have the Common Application Number on it. What is that number? Where can I find it?

Thanks.

i'm sure there are other places to find it, but if you print out your common app the number prints at the bottom of the page

It is also at the bottom of the teacher's recommendation form, and all other forms (school report, etc.)

So, it's for online apps only? Because I have a fillabe form and it doesn't have any numbers at the bottom of the pages.

But for Stanford, I've printed it off and I do see one.

Thanks!

Where is the fillable form for the common app? What browser do you need to be using to get at the fillable form? Thanks

Stanford requires you to file online. Once you register and fill it out (it won't print till you put something into every field, btw) and then print, (you can of course print and check etc before hitting submit) you will see the common app number at the bottom. (I gather that if you print out the teacher rec forms after registering, the number is tehre too, but I don't remember that - try it, it's less work.)

Any browser should work, but you need to do it inside www.commonapp.org, after signing in. If you just download a form before signing in, it won't have your name and number.

My son gave the commom teachers rec form before he registered. There are no numbers there. He is told that his rec are all set to be sent. Shpuld he ask the teachers to write the # before they send it. Is it necessary?

I would recommend it, since most colleges manage to lose things, so minimizing the odds of their doing so seems to be a good idea! :)
