Common Application Question?

Hi,
I'm applying to a few schools early action (October 15, October 31, and November 1). But I'm taking the ACT test in October. I won't get the scores in time for me to put them on my common application. Will it be okay if I submit them through ACT w/o putting them on the common app? What about the schools that I'm apply regular decision?

Thank you!

When the common app asks for your scores, select ACT and leave the scores blank. Remember it asks for tests taken/to be taken? The scores you are listing are merely self-reported. The school will be checking the official ACT report that gets sent to them. The ACT score will go into your file. On your app, admissions will see while reviewing it that you have taken the test and get the scores. Same goes for regular decision.

I don't know about the schools you are applying to, but the University of Florida has a November 1st regular decision deadline this year, and my ACT test is at the end of this month. On their website, it says that they actually wait until December to start reviewing applications that have "to be taken" tests on it.

Also when it asks you on the application for test dates, I believe it said something on the terms of "tests taken (or planning to take)", so definitely put down 10/07 next to the ACT column (but leave the scores blank), so at least the adcoms will be looking out for your scores, rather than, "Huh? This person didn't take any standardized testing?"
