Common Application/supplemental essay

Working on Common Application and NYU supplemental application. Does anyone know how long the NYU Supplemental essay can be? I cant find a word count.

thanks

Yea i can’t either.

Btw, what are you going to major in? :D

1,500 characters (max) I believe

Where did you find the supplement?

Dashboard → (yellow dot for NYU in the “Writing Supplement” column) → (u’ll see “Writing Supplement” - Incomplete) → click on “Incomplete”

and btw its 250 words. Just try to type a letter and it’ll show u “Add 249 or more words to meet the 250 word minimum.”

Is 250 words the minimum or the maximum?

Remember: 650 words is your limit, not your goal. Use the full range if you need it, but don’t feel obligated to do so. (The application won’t accept a response shorter than 250 words.)

Thanks the new common application is a little confusing

How many supplemental essays does NYU have?

I see 2 questions on the “Writing Supplement” page of the Common App, but only 1 box to enter your answer. Does that mean you pick one?

Thanks.

LookingUp8, I think you combine your answers to the two questions into one essay.
